It’s always so much fun when Sam and the guys play and tonight was no exception. So cool to see our friend Roy Glaze filling in for Alan on Steel. Danny Gomez gave Wes a break on bass, and Ken Simpson joined in giving Sam a break. You’re never sure who will show up when Sam and the guys take to the stage! 🙂

Weldon Henson @ The Stardust Club (12/18/2009)

Well!! The second half of the show!! 🙂 Weldon and the guys opened for Asleep at the Wheel, then came out and entertained us!! We were happy…..both for his good luck at getting that awesome opening gig AND for still coming to see us. 🙂

One of these days we’ll get a good picture of Trey when he isn’t either making a fighting face at us or sleeping on the job. 🙂

Weldon Henson was booked to play when he got a call to open for Asleep at the Wheel at The Broken Spoke. Well, he knew we loved good ol’ country and got Jenn to open for HIM at the Stardust. What fun!!

We’d been wanting to go see Jenn and the band, but never quite worked out until tonight.
